The Houston office of Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP seeks an associate and/or partner with 5-10 years' experience in civil litigation and/or appellate practice to join the Appellate section. Candidates should have a working knowledge of state and federal civil and appellate procedure, and excellent advocacy and writing skills. Litigation experience, including motion and trial practice is preferred, and previous appellate and/or federal judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred. Valid Texas BAR license required.
The associate in this position will assist in handling the firm's appellate work, including brief drafting and oral arguments; assist other sections of the firm with motion practice, trial preparation and support; and attend firm trials as appellate counsel.
